In 2026, Spain and India celebrate the Dual Year on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of their diplomatic relations. This bilateral initiative brings together a joint programme of activities to strengthen the strategic relationship between both countries, with a focus on Culture, Tourism and Artificial Intelligence.

The logo for the 70th anniversary of India-Spain relations symbolizes the union and shared strength between both nations. Inspired by nautical knots, it represents connection, stability, and enduring cooperation, drawing on the maritime traditions of both cultures as a common heritage. The knot serves as a universal metaphor for a strong bond and a stable relationship. The intertwined lines subtly form the number ’70,’ reflecting seven decades of dialogue, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to building the future.
