The challenge was to create a cohesive institutional brand for the Dual Year celebrating seven decades of bilateral relations. The identity needed to find a shared cultural denominator between Spain and India that felt historic yet contemporary. Visually, the core task was to blend a powerful symbolic metaphor with the corporate rigor required for high-level diplomatic events, ensuring the system could scale seamlessly from large-scale outdoor banners to digital platforms and official stationery.

The solution anchors the identity on the concept of a nautical knot, drawing on the historic maritime traditions of both nations as a universal symbol of stability and unbreakable bonds. The intertwined lines fluidly form the number ’70’, balancing organic curves with a structured, modern layout. A flexible visual system was developed to support the Dual Year’s core pillars—Culture, Tourism, and AI—creating a timeless brand that honors past diplomatic dialogue while looking toward a shared technological future.
